Welcome Dr. Pelesz
Dr. Melissa Pelesz grew up in Poughkeepsie, NY. She graduated magna cum laude from the College of the Holy Cross in
Worcester, MA in 2002 with a bachelors in biology and concentration in biochemistry. She received her D.V.M. from Cornell
University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. In addition to private practice experience, Dr. Pelesz returned to Cornell
University and completed a Veterinary Internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery in 2008 providing her with advanced training
for practice, clinical teaching, and specialty-board eligibility. She has a particular interest in surgery and neurology. Dr. Pelesz is
married to her high school sweetheart, Britton (they lived 0.8 miles apart), who is a medical student at Upstate University.
Their family currently consists of a Labrador named Ebonhued and a Beagle named Copper. Dr. Pelesz enjoys horseback riding,
dances ballet and teaches kickboxing.

Dr. Corrigan presents at Career Day at Onondaga Hill Middle School
On November 8, 2007 Dr. Corrigan was a presenter at Onondaga Hill Middle School's Career Day. She highlighted what a
career in veterinary medicine entails. Joining Dr. Corrigan is her dog Molly who was thoroughly enjoyed by the students.

Medicine. She brought Assistant Julie with her as well as her two dogs, Dixie and Dakota.

Dr. Fatcheric was a presenter for career day at Onondaga

Dr Fatcheric recently visited Onondaga Hill Middle School for career day. She did an excellent presentation for
students on what a career in veterinary medicine entails. She also brought her dogs, Dixie and Dakota, whom
the students enjoyed meeting.
Fairmount Animal Hospital Expansion
Fairmount animal Hospital is expanding with the addition of another veterinarian, Dr
Anne Galton, a 2005 Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine graduate, scroll
down this page to read her biography. We are thrilled to have her join our team.
We are also pleased to have a fifth licensed veterinary technician join our team
of professionals.
It is hoped that with our expanded schedule, we will be better able to accommodate the needs
of our clients and their pets.
Welcome Dr. Anne Galton
We are proud to announce that Dr. Anne Galton has joined our staff in the beginning of June.
Dr. Galton grew up in Cazenovia, NY (maiden name Weiskotten) and graduated from Cazenovia
High School in 1997. She received her undergraduate degree in Animal Science from Cornell in 2001
and DVM from Cornell in 2005. Her and her husband Brad ( he is a carpenter/electrician) have
recently purchased a house in Cazenovia. Their pets include a German Shepherd named Kahlua and
a orange tabby named Chloe. Her hobbies are downhill skiing, tennis, camping, reading, watching
football and basketball. She is very excited to be joining our staff.

New Vaccine Protocol
We have completed our institution of a new vaccine protocol for dogs. Our goal has and
always will be to treat our client's pets as if they were our own. Our vaccine program is
designed to provide appropriate age specific protection canine diseases without over
vaccination. Our feline vaccination program is also in the process of being modified
so as to provide appropriate, age specific protection against feline diseases without

We are slowly switching our Science Diet Maintaince, nonprescription diets to Advanced Protection
which we feel is superior nutrition for our pets.

Dr. Erin Corrigan had her baby Wednesday March 30th at 11:30am. She and her husband, Brian are
the proud parents of a beautiful baby girl, 8 lb 10 oz Jailyn Marie. They are all doing well.
